Tying agents/scripts to project group.

As a tester in the LTP i want more control over what agents and scripts are tied with a project folder to avoid 50/50 agents showing when running a test (if a company have multiple testers or two departments use it) if only 10/50 are relevant for that test.

It would make things more user friendly in the LTP if when you create a project folder it also creates a scenario group and give you the option to choose what agents you want to see when you run tests in this project instead of seeing 50 script files when going into new test and then 50 agents when running your test against the 5 server environment.

This is most likely a non issue for smaller customers but bigger customers with a lot of agents/scripts will get a less messy experience while testing.

The plan is to create groups for monitor agents much like on the scenario manager and also let the user choose which agents to use when starting a job. How does that sound?

If PMA data is still gathered for all machines when running a test it sounds good. If the options affect the collection schedule, forgotten servers won't be monitored at all and metrics won't be collected for those servers.

That sounds like it not only solves this issue but the issue of multiple environments for customers, like one set of agents in stage and one in production.
